Students of the Ural State Law University took part in the round table "Public Diplomacy: Foreign Students as People's Ambassadors of Russia Abroad"

April 18, 2017 students of the Ural State Law University took part in the round table "Public Diplomacy: Foreign Students as People's Ambassadors of Russia Abroad."

Following experts took part in the discussion:

  1. Aniset Gabriel Kochofa, Extraordinary Ambassador and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Benin to the Russian Federation;
  2. Jose Esono Misha Akent, Extraordinary Ambassador and Plenipotentiary of Equatorial Guinea to the Russian Federation;
  3. Nora Tech, Cultural Attache for the German Consulate in Yekaterinburg;
  4. Yao Adu Nikase, President of the Association of Foreign Students of Russia;
  5. Elena Ponomareva, Professor, Doctor of Political Sciences;
  6. Nikita Silakov, Leading Specialist of the Foundation for Support of Public Diplomacy by the name of A.M. Gorchakov.

The speakers highlighted the significant role of foreign students studying in Russian universities in establishing friendly relations between countries, shared their memories of the student years spent at the universities of the USSR, and also gave the youth advice to lead an active life: to study, learn Russian, Russian culture, communicate and not be afraid of difficulties. In addition to this, Nikita Silakov noted the task of Russian students to be understandable and open to foreign guests, to show what we really can do with their advantages and disadvantages.
